The past two years have been a remarkable journey for Kagezi Seed Company Limited. What began as a casual online meeting has evolved into a strategic partnership yielding unbelievable results for the Zambian agricultural landscape. Our cooperation with Caritas Czech Republic in the Monze district—under the “Green Solutions for Sustainable Development and Growth” project—stands as a powerful testimony to the impact of intentional collaboration.

Empowering the Heart of Zambia: Our Impact in Numbers
Supported by the visionary commitment of Caritas Czech Republic and Czech Aid, we have successfully integrated climate-smart practices into the local farming ecosystem. Over the last two years, we have achieved the following:
Supported over 1,500 farmers with essential inputs and expertise to improve their agricultural resilience.
Trained 300 specialized seed growers, ensuring the local production of high-quality, certified seed varieties.
Established a guaranteed market for over 1,450 farmers, the majority of whom are women and youth, ensuring their hard work translates into sustainable income.

A Commitment to Climate-Smart, Market-Oriented Agriculture
At the core of this partnership has been a focus on climate-smart, organic farming and market-oriented agriculture. We believe that for agricultural projects to be truly sustainable, they must be linked to viable markets. By providing farmers with the tools to grow resilient crops and the platform to sell them, we are moving beyond traditional aid and toward genuine economic empowerment.
The Path Forward: Beyond the Project Cycle
The exceptional performance of our farmers this year is a clear indicator that our engagement creates a lasting impact. The knowledge shared and the systems built ensure continuity well beyond the formal project timeline.

This success is a testament to the fact that market-oriented projects are the future of sustainable development in Zambia. We extend our deepest gratitude to Caritas Czech Republic and Czech Aid for their collaboration and shared vision.
Together, we are not just growing crops; we are growing the future of Zambia.
