Kagezi Seeds offers premium, certified Rice seeds adapted to both upland and lowland (dambo) farming environments in Zambia. As rice demand grows, our varieties offer farmers high-yielding alternatives that maximize the potential of wetlands and seasonal floodplains.
Our Rice seeds are multiplied under strict isolation in our Chisamba fields and processed and graded in our Chongwe Silverest plant. The multiplication process is supervised by the Ministry of Agriculture's inspectors to ensure certified, disease-free seed stock. Working closely with the Zambia Agriculture Research Institute (ZARI), we multiply and distribute NERICA (New Rice for Africa) and specialized lowland varieties selected for high milling recovery rates and adaptability.
Features NERICA varieties for rainfed upland conditions and SUPER MG for lowland dambo farming.
Yields grains with excellent milling recovery and low breakage rates, ensuring high market returns.
NERICA varieties mature in 95 to 110 days, escaping terminal drought in short rainy seasons.
Highly marketable throughout Zambia, offering farmers stable income and a popular nutritional staple.
We provide certified NERICA and lowland rice varieties developed for high yield, disease resistance, and local taste preferences:
